Content Management System Engineer

Job Description

Canviz is looking for a System Engineer to maintain and improve client and internal applications and infrastructure. A qualified candidate must have an understanding of Microsoft cloud and on premise technologies with particular expertise in the following technologies:

• Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, Website/Apps, Traffic Management
• Windows Server 2003-2012
• Microsoft SQL Server
• IIS7
• PowerShell
• Hyper-V and an understanding of Virtual Machine technology
• Intermediate-level network infrastructure such as DNS, DHCP, TCPIP and WINS.

Ideal candidates will also have technical understanding and experience administering Enterprise Web Content Management Platforms, such as:

o SiteCore
o SharePoint

Experience operating systems delivering content at Internet-scale and to global audiences using technologies like Akamai and other content delivery networks is also a plus.

Job Duties
• Take ownership of all technical issues related to the infrastructure and ensure all incidents are resolved within the agreed service level
• Ensure service availability of the infrastructure within the agreed service level
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on chronic issues and major incidents
• Plan, manage and execute infrastructure changes; in accordance to proper change management protocol
• Receive and fulfill customer requested application deployments and updates
• Track and follow up on all incident tickets escalated to other teams, ensure that the tickets are attended to and resolved within agreed service level
• Identify and determine areas of improvement and initiate process improvement projects to increase productivity
• Generate standard operation reports
• Assist application support team in troubleshooting application related issues
