SharePoint Admin
Canviz is looking for a SharePoint Admin to join our talented Systems Engineers team, maintaining and growing our customer’s SharePoint solutions. The qualified candidate must have an understanding of Microsoft’s SharePoint architecture and administration including building and configuring new farms and performing administrative duties using SharePoint Central Administration, PowerShell, and SharePoint online. A successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience.
A successful candidate will be familiar with the following technologies:
- Windows Server
- SharePoint
- Microsoft SQL
- Microsoft Active Directory
- IIS
- PowerShell
- Hyper-V and an understanding of Virtual Machine technology
- Windows infrastructure such as DNS, DHCP, TCPIP and WINS
- Office 365 Administrative Portal

Responsibilities
- Take ownership of all technical issues related to the infrastructure and ensure all incidents are resolved within the agreed service level
- Ensure service availability of the infrastructure within the agreed service level
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on chronic issues and major incidents
- Plan, manage and execute infrastructural changes; in accordance to proper change management protocol
- Receive and fulfill customer requested application deployment and updates
- Track and follow up on all incident tickets escalated to other teams, ensure that the tickets are attended to and resolved within agreed service level
- Identify and determine areas of improvement and initiate process improvement projects to increase productivity
- Generate standard operation reports
- Assist application support team in troubleshooting application related issues
Skills/Experience
- SharePoint administrative services experience, including
-
- SharePoint troubleshooting, diagnostic log review and issue resolution
- Experience working with SharePoint command line management tools and PowerShell
- SharePoint web application creation and configuration including experience working with IIS
- SharePoint search and user profile service configuration and troubleshooting
- Experience in version upgrades and/or SharePoint migrations
- Executing detailed tasks from technical lead and project manager
- Self-starter with an eye towards automation
Nice to have:
- O365 /SharePoint Online Administration
- Experience with SharePoint 2010, 2013, 2016 On-Premise
- Precious projects with global/offshore teams
